VOLUSIA HOME SALES RISE -- According to the Florida Association of Realtors and the University of Florida Real Estate Research Center, the median sale price of a single family home in Volusia County rose to $231,500 in May. This is a 17 percent increase during the past 12 months. In comparison statewide, the existing home median sale price rose 11 percent to $256,400. Locally, the condominium market trend is not as rosy. The number of condominium units sold declined 30 percent and the median sale price declined 17 percent from $266,700 in May 2005 to $222,500 this May.
